Our goal is to make our patients feel better as quickly as possible. We want to keep our patients out of the hospital and out of the emergency room. Our visits are not timed. We personalize and optimize care for people with chronic conditions. We make certain all their medications meet the latest guidelines. We seek to improve their health and lengthen their lifespans. The average patient load of an office-based practice is 2,500 compared to a concierge doctor's 600 patients, but we go a step further. We aim for a patient load of 210 patients per provider. This allows us to stay in contact with every one of our patients and take all the time we need to insure they receive the highest quality care.
For the retiree or empty nester, having a doctor who will take your after-hours call, text, or email, and offer same or next day appointments, and spend as much time as you need to get all your questions answered is a luxury that most people don't enjoy - and probably think they can't afford. How do we do it? Most physicians pay 60% and 70% overhead for brick & mortar offices, staff, billing, filing claims, and more. Practices with high overhead carry a mandate to see 20 to 40 patients a day just to meet overhead, pay their rent, pay their employees, and get by. We do not have that burden, and we translate that savings to our patients. (See: "Our Fee" below)
People pay over $250 a month for a gated community and security systems, even if they may never have a problem. Our low fee offers peace of mind too, but it has great utility and value. We support adult children who are caregivers of elderly parents and often unsure of the seriousness of their complaints. Our providers will investigate the problem by calling the parent and if needed, make a house call. Most PCPs do not have time to go see their patients in the hospital. We not only visit our patients in the hospital we coordinate with their hospital doctors for the best care after discharge.
The Fee for our service is $147 - not just for one visit - but for an entire month of access to your healthcare provider, day or night.
We WANT to give our patients the luxury of Concierge Medicine that costs less than than an average utility bill. Everybody should have the privilege of quality and affordable healthcare.
We offer discounts for extra family members, widows, and those working in the ministry.
Our service can easily pay for itself. Everyone has had a sprained ankle or minor injury at one time or another. An emergency room visit can run into thousands of dollars for a stubbed toe repair or a minor repair of a finger laceration done in the kitchen while slicing food. A report by The New York Times estimated that an emergency department charges roughly $500 for every stitch placed. The article included profiles of a man billed $3,355.96 for five stitches on his finger, and a woman whose bill for three stitches reached $2,229.11. Not always, but many times Covenant Primary Care can take care of minor urgent issues. Our experience can even be lifesaving in the event of foreseeing an arising problem in a patient that could landslide into a very serious situation.
